Kid Funnies

I have to write down some of the things Ryann says and does so that I don't forget them someday.

She has always called her music "mus-get" and WILL NOT say music!

Every day after we eat breakfast, she asks and asks and asks if it is 10 o'clock yet. I give her a snack at 10, and so for 2-3 hours she asks continuously if it is 10 o'clock yet.

She always calls Elle "Elle Belly" and often says that Elle is her "big huge big sister".

Ryann always asks what we are doing or why we are doing something. Brett often says "I'll do whatever I want" and Ryann replies "Whatever you do!"

She is totally obsessed with "Face Trees". Our neighbor put one of those creepy faces on the big tree in their front yard and Brett told Ryann it is a Face Tree. He scares her almost every day by saying that Face Trees eat little kids, or knock on her window, or anything else scary he can come up with. Ryann gets scared sometimes, but still loves the Face Tree enough that she wants to be a Face Tree for Halloween!

I wish I wrote these things down as she says them because there are so many things she says on a daily basis that crack us up!!

Lots of Updates!!

Well, it has been awhile since my last post because I am terrible at updating my life on here! So a quick update on me and Brett: Brett is still working overnights (8pm to 8am 4 days a week) and I started subbing again at the school district. So far I have worked 3 days, but its been nice to pick and choose when I can work. I've also been doing some odds and ends work at GOAL, Inc (the company I worked for all through college and after) so it's been nice to make a little extra money.

A couple weeks ago we went in for an ultrasound on the baby and found out we are having another girl!! I can't believe it - our house is going to be bursting with hormones. Poor, poor Brett. So we are working on coming up with a name that's as great as Ryann's and Elle's! We have a few ideas but nothing for sure yet.

Elle is about to turn 1! In 20 days she will be a year old. She is so close to walking and close to saying a few words. She mumbles mama and dada and baba, but not directly to anything. She waves and does "so big" but only when she wants to - she is too stubborn to do it when we ask her to. She seems like she suddenly got so big - its crazy. This past week she's been pretty sick with a cold or who knows what. She had a fever for a few days and just now seems to be getting over it.

Ryann started preschool at ECFE. She goes 2 days a week, for 2 hours each time. She LOVES it! She can't wait to go to school and asks every day if it's a school day or not. Her teachers have said that she is doing really well and seems to get along with everyone in the class. Tonight Ryann was playing in our room and somehow knocked over my full-length mirror. It shattered on top of her and she cut her finger open pretty bad. Brett and I tried to stop the bleeding for about 2 hours, but it wouldnt quit and she wouldnt let us get very close to it to see how bad it was. I decided to bring her in to the ER, and she ended up with 3 stitches. When the doctor got it all cleaned up we finally saw how deep it really was and it looked really gross. He gave her a shot right into the cut and Ryann screamed at the top of her lungs. The nurse had to hold her down to get the stitches in and the whole time Ryann was telling the doctor "Don't cut my finger! Don't cut my finger!" It was kinda cute. But she calmed down right away when he was done and was actually laughing by the time we left the hospital. So we survived our first real injury! Brett and I both had stitches around 4 years old, so I guess she's right on track!

We also replaced our broken down van. God came through and found us a FREE (yes, FREE)
car! Jenni and Cullen Tanner had a car that they wanted to bless someone with that her cousin gave her, and they gave it to us! Its a 2001 Ford Taurus and it is AWESOME. We are sooooo thankful and just can't believe how it worked out. It was a HUGE answer to prayer because we weren't sure how we would be able to afford a new vehicle. We were using Brett's little 2-door, but it could barely fit 2 carseats, and would never fit 3. The Taurus is roomy enough to fit 3 carseats in the back so now we have room for everyone!

So that's about it.....we are painting all the rooms in our house to make it more livable since we can't seem to sell it. We went bright - orange, red and some turquoise. It looks good so far! Next is saving up for a new couch. When all the painting is done I will post pics of our "new" house and pics of the girls (including Ryann's newest wound)
