Weight Loss Update

I am down to 174!! And this is without even trying very hard (which means I really better start trying if I want to drop those last 30 pounds!) I was thinking about getting a membership somewhere because I can get the student discount now that I am taking classes at BSU. I can't use the BSU Rec Center because I am an online student and have to pay more to use the gym, but a few fitness places in town offer discounted rates for students. It is just really hard to find a sitter for my kids so that I can work out and NONE of the places in town have daycare services! So, we'll see.....it would be nice to have a place to workout over the winter since I tend to gain weight when I am stuck indoors so often.......

So I am now town a total of 50 pounds since the day I had Morgan!! CraaaAAAAzy-ness!

Wow!

Well, it seems that I only write new blog posts when a lot has happened and I need an update! I have been thinking up some new blog post ideas, so after this update, I will really try to be a better blogger!

This summer FLEW by! We did not do everything on our list, but still kept ourselves busy. It is really hard to do much with a 1 1/2 year old AND a 7 month old, so we didn't do a whole lot. Oops! Hopefully we will make up for it next summer.

*Elle is talking! (Sorta!) She says Mama, Dada, Papa, Coco, Pinky, Chance, No, Yes, Cracker (Caca), more (mo), and a few other things that only I can understand. But, hey, that's better than nothing!

*Morgan is army crawling ALL OVER the place! She has not crawled on her hands and knees yet, but soon!

*Ryann started preschool a couple weeks ago but says that she misses her teachers from last year. They really were great, but hew new teachers are great, too. We are hoping to get her in gymnastics this winter to keep her active!! She always has sooo much energy and when we are stuck inside in the winter the days get really long. So hopefully we will start that in November!

*I helped do some research for our church about opening a daycare, worked some hours at GOAL, and took 3 grad classes this summer. It was waaaay too much and I am glad to just be taking grad classes now! I am taking 2 classes and doing about 40 hours of a practicum (working with kids in the schools) which is much more tolerable!

*Our bathroom flooded which meant tearing out the sub floors, toilet, walls, etc. NOT FUN - but we have a new bathroom now!

*We got bunkbeds for the girls and hope to move Elle into the bottom bunk so that Morgan can move OUT of our room and into the crib. We need to buy a (cheap) twin mattress soon so that we can make the move!

*We are still working on paying off our debt and have been doing a pretty good job! We are sticking to our budget and trying not to use credit (AT ALL).

*We went to Duluth to see Kaarin run Grandma's (half) marathon and stayed at an awesome hotel (Thanks to Mark and Dara!) We hiked around Gooseberry Falls and took pictures of the kids.

*Brett painted his Le Mans! The car he bought with his dad from a junk yard when he was 16....it has been in the works for the past 11 years and now has a perfect paint job! I am so proud of his for finishing it (and I think he is, too!) and can't wait to go out on a date in that car!!

*Brett's older brother (Sean) got married in August and the wedding was so much fun! Ryann and Elle were flower girls (along with Aubri), Brett was the best man, and I did whatever I could to help. Kaarin came up to take pictures which meant we got to spend the weekend with her, and we all had a blast! Plus, I have an awesome new sister-in-law!!

*I went on my 2nd Annual Boundary Waters trip and did a 1.5 mile portage! It was sooo intense, but we did it and I am so proud of myself! The weather couldn't have been more perfect, the lovely ladies I went with couldn't have been more fun, and the BWCA couldn't have been more beautiful! It was a success and I can't wait to go again!

So....now it is fall and Halloween is approaching.....which means Thanksgiving and Christmas soon after. Elle's 2nd birthday is next month and I am hosting a Grey's Anatomy party at my house every Thursday. I want to DO more instead of sitting around THINKING about doing stuff. Plans to move to the cities soon are on hold (can't sell the house or find a transfer for Brett) so we are going to enjoy another (long) winter in Bemidji!

*We also went to the Spring Lake Park Tower Days carnival and fire works, 4th of July fireworks in Coon Rapids with Emily, Ben, Nadalia and Valerie, the Beltrami Couty Fair, the Scherling/Goodrich Family Reunion at Oak Hills, Wakefest, and my 10 year reunion.

Here are some pictures from our summer:
