Anyways, the past few weeks have been kind of eventful around here. Brett has been working on some things around the house every time he has a day off, and its making it easier for me to still be living here. At least we can make it the way we want if it won't sell. He recently tore down the half wall we had between our dining room and living room, then converted a closet that stored junk into a really nice, built-in bookcase. Then he had the urge to scrub the sink in the kitchen and bathroom, the shower, and the toilet to get the rust off of it. I have never seen those things look so clean!! Its amazing. I only wish they would stay that way, but our water is so rusty that they will soon be orange once again. Then the best thing of all happened yesterday - we bought a DISHWASHER!!!! I cant believe it. We have yet to hook it up, but we took apart our cupboards and made room for it and it looks awesome!!! I can't wait to use it. Its an energy-saver, which means that we got a $50 rebate check from our electric company towards the price. Plus, it was a dented/scratched item and was 1/2 off the original $500 price!
As far as the kids go, we have decided to try to not let Ryann have anything with RED DYE in it to see if it helps with her fits. A friend suggested it, and when I started googl-ing it online, I found a lot of evidence that it really effects young kids. We are going to keep it away from her for awhile and then give her like a sucker or something just to test it out. So far, she has been much better. I've also been trying to give her specific tasks to do during the day to keep her busy. She has such a short attention span and is full of curiosity, that we have to keep her busy to keep her out of trouble.
And Elle is now rolling over! She has also figured out how to grab her toys and Ryann loves to get her playing and laughing at her toys. The only problem I am having right now is that Elle seems to be preferring a bottle over nursing right now. She has bottles of breast milk when I am at work only and I think she is getting used to how easy it is to get the milk from a bottle. This past week she has been getting really angry waiting for my milk to let down, and then angry again when she is at the end of the milk. She will bite down and pull her head back really hard (OUCH!!!) when she's not getting a lot of milk. She has also been nursing every 2 hours instead of 3, possibly because she is not getting all of the milk each time since she pulls off when the supply slows down. But I am SO determined to breastfeed for an entire year that I will nurse every hour if I have to. Especially since we were kicked off of WIC, there is no WAY I can afford formula. Plus, I just know how good breastmilk is for babies, and it is way more convenient than making bottles all day long.
I have found a new band to LOVE!! They are called Chasen and they are SO AWESOME! The band has such a great testimony, and their songs are really good. My favorite right now is "Drown". I heard it on the radio like a month ago and could not figure out who it was. Then I heard the song again in the car and wrote down a few lyrics. I had to search the internet before I finally found them! And now I have heard the song a lot on the radio because they are so awesome and people want to hear "Drown" all the time! Look them up!!
So, thats a quick update of the Wallin's. Here are some pictures from the past few weeks:
How is it possible for these two to be so incredibly cute???
Our van was broken last Friday, so we had to drop Brett off at work and then pick him up at 11 that night. We did our laundry in town (we still need a new dryer) and went to McDonalds (yuck) with Olivia and her kids so the kids could all play. By the time we got home it was 9:30 and we had to leave by 10:30 to pick up Brett. So I put on a movie in my room and me, Ryann, and Elle all got in bed and watched a movie til we had to leave. Here are Ryann and Elle all snuggled up in my bed.
Brett took this - I can't believe how patient Chance is with the girls!! What a good dog....
Beautiful baby girl!!
A night out with the girls (minus Olivia in this pic). We went out for dinner, then saw a really freakin awesome a capella group (Up Til 2) and then out to Sneaky Petes. It was one of the most fun nights I have had in a looong time!!!!

I love that picture of Elle and Chance! How cute! I'm also going to look up that song on Youtube! :)
I had the same problem with my daughter wanting a bottle too early, I switched her bottle nipples so they were super slow flow, that way she had to learn to wait and my breast milk was faster so she for sure enjoyed that more. try it, hopefully it will work:)
